There are only a handful of places on the planet that offer the diversity of hiking experiences that you will find in Inyo County. It doesn’t matter whether you are beginner or a seasoned back country explorer you will feel right at home in Inyo County. In terrain ranging from below sea level desert hiking to the top of the tallest mountain in the continental United Stated year around hiking opportunities abound. Most of the county is made up of National Forest, BLM, or National Park Service protected areas. So whether you wish to hike the desert of Death Valley National Park or to the top of Mt.
